What is PRAY 21/10?

Pray 21/10 is an intentional time of prayer and fasting that catapults our faith and intercession. By praying through specific topics each day, you’ll see miracles break out in your life and the lives of others.

Join us as we seek God together during our 21 Days of Prayer, concluding with 10 Days of Fasting. During this time of prayer, we will intercede and pray for FIVE people that we want to see give God and His church another try to perform miracles in their lives!

Why We Pray

Prayer is our first response

From the moment we give our lives to Jesus we are invited into the beauty of communicating with God, the very creator of all things in heaven and on earth. We can come to him in boldness lifting up our every word, need, and desire. Whether we find ourselves in the valley or rejoicing on the mountain top, God sees it all. Prayer is not our last resort, but our first response. There is nothing too grand or too insignificant to God. If you're worried, pray. If you're weary, pray. If you're wondering, pray. If you're waiting, pray. Seasons of life may change, but God always remains the same.

Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. — Isaiah 59:1

Why We Fast for 10 Days

Daniel 10:2-3

12 “Please test us for ten days on a diet of vegetables and water,” Daniel said.

Daniel was persistent and asked for a 10 day test of the diet. At the end of those 10 days, Daniel and his friends were physically and mentally superior compared to those who indulged in the King’s food. The guard allowed Daniel and his friends to eat whole plant foods for the duration of their training. At the end of their training the King found them 10 times better than all others in every matter of wisdom and understanding (Daniel 1:1-20).

Fasting is the act of choosing to abstain from food for a period of time. When we fast, we are practicing spiritual discipline by sacrificing one of our most essential daily routines. There is power in the absence of food as we hunger after the word and seek God with our mind, heart, body and spirit. There are several different ways that we can partner both prayer and fasting together. Some examples below…

Fast Days: August 2024 - TBA

 Fast Types

  • Based on the fasting experience of Old Testament Prophet Daniel (Daniel 1 and 10), The Daniel Fast is a Partial Fast that allows whole grains, fruits, beans, legumes, and vegetables. While eliminating meats, seafood, dairy, eggs, sugar, and sweeteners, leavened bread, coffee, wine and soda. Moderate portion sizes are encouraged. We will be corporately participating in this type of fast.

  • This fast is sometimes called the “Jewish Fast” and Involves abstaining from eating any type of food in the morning and afternoon. This can either correlate to specific times of the day, such As 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, or from sunup to sundown.

  • Choosing to abstain from certain technologies for a specific period of time, through a mobile device or computer from 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM.

As a church, we are embarking on a 21-day prayer journey to lift up five individuals who need God's intervention in their lives. Who do you know that could use some healing, salvation, or a renewed connection with their faith? Identify your "PRAYER FOCUS 5" and offer them a "someone's praying for you" card. Encourage them to join us for Renewal Sunday on September 15, 2024, as we witness God's miracles and blessings in the lives of others. Let's come together in prayer and faith to make a difference.
